Things To Do

Set in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors at the end of the Rosedale valley, surrounded by the dramatic scenery typical of the moors stands Moorlands Farm Cottage, a traditional stone built former farmhouse. Jan and Glen now run it as a smallholding, and their new venture for 2015 is their first bed and breakfast accommodation.

Rosedale East has its own café just a stone’s throw from the B & B at Dale Head Farm Tea Garden. We also have a chapel
We are just 30 minutes walk from The Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge, the highest pub in the North Yorkshire Moors
We are 3 miles from Rosedale Abbey with the renowned glass works, Gillies Glass, 2 public houses which also serve food and one hotel, 2 cafes, a shop, a church and small golf course
There are several walks on our doorstep, exploring the area and its history
The Moors National Park Centre, Danby
Ryedale Folk Museum
Pickering with its Castle, Beck Isle Museum and North York Moors Steam Railway
Farndale and the famous daffodil walk
Whitby, Sandsend, Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay
